Brno and Prague

By arriving in the Czech Republic we had reached the 15th and last country on our trip to Germany. Now it was just a stone's throw to our home destination.

The rain was still reliable. We arrived in Brno and swam to the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, the historic town hall and to the Špilberk fort afterwards.

We then moved to Prague, captial of the Czech Republic, situated on the Vltava river and for us the last place to stay before Germany. Here we took four nights' time and - amongst others - visited downtown with its powder gate, old town square with Christmas market, the Church of Our Lady before Týn, the town hall with its astronomical clock, the famous Charles Bridge as well as the Prague Castle and St. Vita Cathedral. Having plenty of mulled vine was obligatory, of course! Exceptionally, this time it was Nadine who had to haul me from the Christmas market...
